Sounds Like: **NEW**Jeremy Buck & The Bang Promo Video: Featuring footage from Blues Traveler Show at Holt Arena - Pocatello, Idaho
Imagine you have a blender, I mean a big [email protected] blender. And you put Johnny Cash, Prince, Mick Jagger, Frank Zappa and Paul McCartney in there; you grind it all up; and then Elvis serves it to you!
A Brief Biography:
Jeremy Buck grew up on a farm in Indiana and showed an interest in music at
an early age. He bought his first drum set at nine-years-old with money he
earned showing cows as a member of the 4-H Club. However, he didn’t meet his
band, “The Bang†(featuring Chris Hanna on Guitar & Joel Gesit on Bass,
until he made the leap from small town Indiana to the
shores of Tinsel Town. Dubbed by LA’s Easy Reader as, "The band you must see
before they hit it big," along with honors as “2007 Best Live Bandâ€,
Jeremy Buck & The Bang have polished their
irresistible sound at countless gigs in Los Angeles, the Mid-West, and
Japan. While the band's pure energy sucks people in, it's ultimately Buck's
finely crafted original songs that keep the crowd hooked. Recent shows with
Blues Traveler, Ziggy Marley, Lee Rocker, and Cheap Trick have built a buzz
around these gents. The rock trio that sounds like a 12-piece and hits like
a cannon ball is taking their jaw-dropping live show on the road in support
of their new album “Fools Goldâ€. This album was mixed by legendary producer
and mix master Kevin “Caveman†Shirleyâ€. Kevin has worked with superstar acts
such as: Led Zeppelin, Black Crowes, Aerosmith, Metallica, Iron Maiden, & The Raconteurs
as well as countless others.
This what others have to say about the band:
“These guys made quite an impression two weeks ago when
they opened for Blues Traveler, †Buck’s playing keyboards
with his drum sticks, drum rolls on the helmeted heads of
his guitar players and as a finale, jamming his last good stick
through the head of his floor tom. I’ll admit to being far from
a Buck-believer when I first researched this group. But after
watching this three-piece band from about 20 feet from the
stage, I now see how they win over the crowd — pure energy
and charisma with a mix of comedic posturing that can only
come from pure talent. I’d forgotten that rock ’n’ roll is about
having fun, and these guys entertain 100 percent. “

“Jeremy Buck’s songs have an intangible quality that makes
them instant rock classics. His approach to songwriting is different than that of the modern crop of bands. In commercial
rock songs you hit the chorus and then begin your descent.
Jeremy Buck & The Bang have another level somewhere beyond the chorus. It’s the kind of high that cookie-cutter rock
bands can’t touch. In pushing through to this next level Jeremy
Buck & The Bang break clear of sterile commercial categories.
Their place is their own. Their sound is superior to what the
music monopolies are serving up on radio and at stadiums.
For Jeremy Buck & The Bang that means capturing the passion
of their live shows while preserving the nuances of Buck’s song-
writing. Jeremy Buck & The Bang’s brand new CD Fools Gold
does exactly that.â€

"I've been working the bar scene for 17 years and he is the best I've seen come through."
- David Lux, Luxies Pub Owner, Lafayette, IN
If crowd reaction is a viable gauge, they were a hit. Most impressive was the energy. In the lyrics to his tune "Goin' to California," Buck sings: "I might not make it when I get there, if I never try." He need not worry about making it when he gets there. He's already arrived.
- Bob Bridge - The Herald Times - Bloomington, IN
Buck delights in mixing diverse genres in his voodoo bag, and the results are something familiar yet unique. Kudos to this performer for coming up with something derivative but still distinctive.
- Music Connection Magazine - Los Angeles, CA
Jeremy sang lead vocals, while taking charge of the drum. Furthermore, the “entertainment characteristic" overflows with the type of feeling you have not seen until now. It is live! It was enormously pleasant!
- Too High Magazine - Tokyo, Japan
"His performance, energy and creative promotion, totally wowed me..!"
