the 8 bar death star massacre may be the most interesting band Bristol has to offer. formed in 1997 by two young lads the 8 bar has grown capable of building terrific soundscapes, taking the listener to the darkest corners of Bristol's industrial sites in order to guide you to your deepest hopes and fears. these songs, as powerful as they are, are never longer than just 8 bars. they are a statement against limits by self-limiting the band to stop a song when it hasn't really started yet. it's all metaphor and allegory. it's why we are here.
