Maia is a 24-year-old antisocial pessimist from Buenos Aires - Argentina, (though she feels like a 15-year-old), with some small psychological issues, who thinks vampires exist but God doesn’t. Studied Biotechnology and graduated with high grades, but can’t get a job.She lives 80% of her life inside a bubble in a parallel reality, but likes it there because there’s AC and can turn the music up. She’s addicted to technology, internet and anything considered “multimediaâ€, like TV series, movies and music, obviously. As strange as it seems, her last contact with videogames was in the Family Game era.She’s clumsy, has bad memory and forgets people’s faces easily. Suffers from insomnia, has weird long dreams and also dreams awake. She talks to herself all the time.
Although not in public, she cries easily when she hears or sees something that relates to her personal life. Any love story melts her heart. She’s in love with love and thinks everyone should make more love and less war.She likes singing in the shower (not good, though), being alone, the silence, babies, puppies, hugs, kisses, road trips, Cuba’s beaches, basketball, the Football World Cup, the English language, men with veiny arms, tattoos, piercings, musicals, writing stories and poems, blogs, drawing, watching people’s feet, music videos, innocence. She also has a weird addiction for melodrama, angst and psychotic characters.Maia kneels before Joss Whedon, Matthew Bellamy and Freddy Mercury. Misses her grandmother everyday and wishes she could see her again someday, but she doesn’t believe in the afterlife. Feels trapped in her own body, believes there’s life in other planets and thinks this one has no future.Likes vampire novels, science-fiction, romantic, adventure and drama novels too, fanfics and fandoms. Her best friend is Noelia, they met at the university and been having a symbiotic relationship ever since.The song that describes her best is “Beauty from pain†by Superchick, and she also feels identified with the movie “Inside I’m dancingâ€.She loves her cat Luz and her dogs, Alex and Lulú. She’s very conscious about the environment and tries to change people’s opinions for the best.Gets exasperated with homophobes, changes, making decisions, waking up early, night outs, extreme hot or cold weather, close-minded people, people who don’t listen, who can’t follow instructions, who don’t know how to use a computer or don’t know English.She’s learned how to play the piano, drawing, painting, pottery, artistic skating, artistic gymnastics and swimming. She also learned English and Portuguese, and has been doing Pilates once a week for the past two years.Usually relates certain scenes or phases from the TV show “Friends†with situations on her own life or the people she knows.
