Recently I completed a revised edition of my book "You Shall Know the Truth" (published in June 2006). The new book title is "MAKING A U-TURN... Readers will also learn the similarities between the former natives of Sodom and Gomorrah (two neighboring cities, destroyed by God because of their wickedness) and those who revel in Mardi Gras. They will learn the secret ingredient Satan uses to get people to celebrate Halloween,the many methods he uses to divert the attention from Christ during the Christmas season, and how he promotes deception, through a lot of today’s music, television programs, blockbuster movies, video games, literary works, etc.Among God’s people, there must be an awareness of knowing right from wrong. It is called discernment. Operating in discernment is to recognize and analyze situations the way God sees it, and it plays an essential part to the spiritual growth of every believer (Hebrew 5:12-14). Furthermore, it is very important for every Christian to evaluate his or her life on an unfailing basis, if anyone proclaim and profess Christianity they must evaluate whether or not the power and presence of Christ is growing in them. Declaring Christianity is not enough, actions must follow what is decreed; otherwise, there is no evidence of true faith. Second Corinthians 13:5 says Examine yourselves to see if your faith is genuine. Test yourselves. Surely you know that Jesus is among you; if not, you have failed the test of genuine faith.†Finally, examining oneself sets the stage for challenge, the challenge to repent of any mindsets, teachings, behavior, events, festivities and pleasures, which contradict Christianity.The Benefits readers will take away from my book is:* After careful self- evaluation, they will know whether the power and presence of Christ is growing in their lives or if they are drifting further apart from Him * Recognize areas in which Satan may have heavily influenced them * Distinguish the characteristics of genuine and false leaders in our churches today * Identify everyday circumstances from a spiritual perspective * Make a conscious decision to return to their rightful place in Christ.
