About Me

Hi everyone. I'm a mother of six children. I live in Texas and I've been married for fourteen yrs. (recently divorced).Have believed in Jesus ever since I can remember called on him when I was very young (about 14 or 15) but did not study much early in my Christian life until after I was married. For the past twelve yrs. have been a student of the Bible, in particular the New Testament. I like discussing religion with people. I have found it disheartening to realize after finding out the truth about many things (doctrines) that the church has greatly fallen away from the teachings of the New Testament. It has been very difficult to find a church and we are usually on our own or in a small home meeting (if we go anywhere).I believe in the woman's headcovering is an ordinance that should be in practice in today's churches even though we live in modern America. I believe women are commanded to be silent in the church; however ,I think it is allowable for us to discuss our beliefs with people in general or on message boards because your not in a church gathering and you don't know who's a believer and who's not. I think women should take it upon themselves to be studious too and not depend on their husbands to tell them everything because sometimes husbands get out of the word or they stop serving the Lord and become unbelievers.I have not celebrated the holidays of the paganised church for twelve yrs. I think there is much idolatry in the church today. It is difficult around the holidays because my family always wants us to come for Christmas or they want to buy the kids stuff for Christmas.Look forward to meeting people of like mind or people who don't mind talking about religion even though we may disagree.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Like minded people, hopefully or people who don't mind discussing religion even if we disagree. people I can learn from and people who maybe think they have something to learn as well.

Is the headcovering for today?

The answer is yes.  Let's take a look at 1 Corinthians 11.  Now I praise you brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.  But I would have you kno...

persecution

"Those who live Godly SHALL suffer persecution."  I found that out just for speaking out on abortion.  Jesus also said in the world people will hate you.  That was clearly recognized by the forum post...

What does it mean to be born again?
