Marilyn Manson has reportedly finished work on about half of a new album. One of the tracks is reportedly called "Rebels Without Applause," and it's about trendy new bands. Manson told Rolling Stone, "I'm not the bitter guy that's jealous of these other bands that are coming up and stealing my thunder. I invented thunder and rain. I am the black. And I'm here to vacuum the red carpet." He has also recorded the song "This Is Halloween" for the upcoming DVD release of Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas.Marilyn Manson is launching his own version of the super-strength alcoholic drink Absinthe.Marilyn Manson is putting his name to a new blend of the beverage and is confident it will prove to be popular with drinkers."We hope to have it out in time for Christmas so parents can give it to their kids as a present."Absinthe, known as the 'The Green Fairy' because of its emerald green coloring and hallucinogenic qualities, was previously banned in the UK and is still banned in several countries, including the US, France, Germany, and Switzerland.Famous absinthe drinkers have included literary giant Ernest Hemmingway, French artist Vincent Van Gogh and playwright Oscar Wilde.
