About Me

I've been a musician and guitarist for a very long time. I started in my home town of Augusta, GA. Coming from a musical family, I was surrounded by music constantly. My father was a Highschool Band Director, Jazz trumpet player, church choir director and band instrument repairman. My mother was and is a singer who performed both as a singer and dancer in her youth.I am more interested in being a composer/songwriter and well rounded musician than I am in playing the role of "Johnny Guitar Hero". That bores the Hell out of me and is a Promethian task.Much of my music derives from a desire to explore my individual collection of mythological symbols. I explore the tension between them and the collective symbols of our culture. Also, I use a loud guitar amp and lots of distortion. I'm not opposed to wah wah but find it a clumsy sexual ploy.I am band leader for Ronnie Milsap and work with him both on the road and in the studio. Ronnie is the real deal. Ronnie is a great guy and his band and technical staff are some of the finest people in the world.Check out my music or the terrorists win!

Today we are in Canada

Yesterday we landed in Canada after a long day of flying. The ground seemed to swell and surge as we made our way across the upturned barren landscape. Moans of a fetid wind from empty bombed out...
