Timothy Lamar Love, Jr. a.k.a. Royal T., started out writing and rapping at the tender age of six. Although his rhymes didn’t make much sense at the time, he persisted and his writing and vocal delivery evolved into a style of music influenced by old school Hip-Hop, R&B, Rock and Alternative, House, Soul and Blues.The diverse sixteen year old has written, arranged, and produced his first up and coming album, “My Turn”, an eclectic fusion of all the genres of music that inspired him. He also displays his singing ability on a few of his tracks; a talent inherited from his mother, Deneka Lashea a.k.a. Lottalox, a power house R&B and Funk singer.Royal T.’s style of rapping and brand of music excels because it skillfully combines the commercial appeal of today’s hottest music along with the consciousness that is a throw back to lyricist such as Slick Rick, the Geto Boys, the Fresh Prince and Run DMC.As a story-teller first, Royal’T.’ addresses a variety of subjects that his generation faces while simultaneously providing music that teenagers and adults can dance to.Royal ‘T.’ has a bright future ahead of him.
