About me? Well there's not really much to say, but...i was born in July '91 in the traditional Portsmouth hospital called St. Mary's and i grew up in the suburbs in a little town called Waterlooville. I was educated in my early years in a school where the children used to steal dragonflies from the windows and store them in our "drawers" to find them dead by the end of the day. Poor buggers. I suppose I was a bit geekish in the early years, and as I was an English boy, I was pretty much forced into enjoying football, which I did until I got to about 12 and realised I didn't. Well actually, i like watching England games, and do want Portsmouth to win, and don't mind the occasional kick around, but most games can be quite boring. But back in the day, I used to be goalie in our lunch time football matches, unfortuantly, the dinner ladies complained about our tendencies to hit them, so we were forced to play with a "tennis ball" instead from then.
But then I got older and moved on to pastures new, a place called Oaklands School. I can't really remember what I did for the first three years, but I do remember the annoyingly religious extremism the school practised. Catholicism. Boo. I prefer other denominations, but I won't get to deep into the world of Christendom. Not that i particularly mind though, and after a bit of councelling from the school chaplain, I managed to get over my woes and shift into my GCSE years, which were a real laugh, and my "hard work" payed off with a result of a couple of A's, a handful of B's and trio of C's and the odd D. Now I go to it's Sixth form to study Geography, Psychology, Business Studies and Music Technology, and it's enchantingly enjoyable!
As you can see I'm a bit weird, but i blossom like a flower into a normalish person once you get to know me, which can be quite quickly. I do enjoy life, why hate the one life we get?! I'm known to my piers as Matt, as Whitney to my Acquaintances, as "Wipples" to my associates and as "Bellend" to my enemies. I would like to add that I don't have too many enemies, actually i can't think of anyone i hate, only those who one dislikes. Oh and by the way, I didn't really get councelling in year nine, but not like thats a bad thing or anything.
Errrm, yeah music. Its really good, I love it, as does everyone else. It's the only language other than English that I really appreciate, but never understand. (I do understand English, but music I don't think i'll ever understand fully - It's just so big!) See my influences part to the left to see what music I like, but as well as listening to music I also like to play it, either on the guitar or piano, or, back when I was in the dragonfly-obliterating school, the Clarinet! Bahahahah. I'm in a few bands, which is lovely, and I enjoy making music with friends.
I suppose after college a degree in Geography looks quite beguiling and enticing, although I'm not sure of which path to take. In the far future a career would be good, and a really good job would be a pilot, but I'm not sure I'm clever enough for that, or fast enough...
I have noticed from non-music profiles that everyone else gets a "Who I Would Like To Meet" section. Well if I were to have one, I think meeting Jesus would be quite inspiring, and if there was a "someone" that created the universe, that meeting would be magnificant. In moderatly possible terms, friendly faces are always a welcome article in my life, anyone that makes me laugh, and anyone who makes me happy is a much appreciated friend. If there is a soul mate around, a little get-together would obviously be very welcome, although I am a futile, prosaic romantic and would cock up the meeting by making some atrocious joke, a bit like "Chandler" from Friends, which is one program that makes me laugh! Mind you, thinking about it, I wouldn't be futile or prosaic to my soul mate, because otherwise they wouldn't be my soul mate eh. Interesting. Oh, as well as Jesus, God, friends and wives, I would also like to meet the Druid's behind Stonehenge, just to ask "How...? and...Why...?". There are many interesting people i'd like to meet from history, but I won't list them here, I can't really see how that would be interesting for you folk. Or how any of this would be remotly interesting to anyone, unless you were a peodofile I suppose.
I've been rambling for so long now, I think I can pretty much say what I want here, because nooo one will have the attention span to read down this far, so if you have, well done! My friends are really important in my life, as they are in everyones life, because they change your personality, and in a good way, they've made me, me. Ramble Definitly over now. Its quite sad in a way, that it's over, it's even sadder that i find ending an about me essay sad, and even sadder sadder that I still use the word sad. It's like people that call people "noobs", internet gamers. Mind, I think i went through a phase of saying that once, but only in a mocking way...promise. I find it quite wierd how we all go through "phases" in our lives. yeah, interesting. Maybe thats why i'm studing psychology, as a lesson to teach me why i do things i do. It's quite interesting actually, most of it anyway. If I do really well in my education, and suddenly find that I'm a phenominal astro-physisian, I would love to go into Space, that would just be supreme. Back to earth (Oh dear for that pun), I used to play quite a lot of sport - badminton, basketball, tennis (haha), but now i only really play pool during free's and i cycle to places. Thats my way of cutting back on global warming - which SUCKS. Scientists really are pessimistic, but if it's true, in about 20 years were all going to die from natural gas and oil running out, starvation as a draught falls on the earth, be anhilialated as a nucleaur bomb drops on us all and drowned because the sea rises like a metre or somthing rediculous like that, a metre! Imagine that.... Recycle your Coke cans, and the ice caps will die another day, which means we will all be ok.From tomorrow, I'm getting out more.
Enjoy!
