Like every band reas.on also has its own history. Günni (singer) and I (Ralph) met each other in 2002 and played together in a different band and then we became friends. Soon it was clear that we couldn´t develop musically any further what was important to us. We weren´t satisfied with their process and wanted to go our own ways. The music of Reamonn accompanied me since "Supergirl". The idea of a Tribute band was born! I played to Günni all the albums Reamonn released until then (2004 ) and he got into it immediately. The way Reamonn present themselves and their deep connection to their fans, fascinated Günni so much. Rea is the first singer with whom I can identify myself without distinguish from my own personality, he says.
Unfortunately, the search for qualifyfied musicians remained unsuccessful. Either the identification to Reamonn wasn´t given or the human relation were missing. So the idea of a Tribute Band was put on hold. In September/October 2005 Günni an I tried it again. It was our dream to play and to live the songs of Reamonn and we didn't want to give up so easily.
Then everything went pretty fast at the end of October. Günni knew Knippy (guitar player), Knippy knew Schuberto (drummer). Günni and I knew Häsi (Keyboards) and die Leuchte (lights & effects). Well, isn´t that the same old story? *wink*
We realized that we all were at the same level musically. In November 2005 we met for a first rehearsal. Reas.on was born and with that a deep friendship between us.On 17th of June, 2006 we played in front of a very critical audience: a small group of Reamonn fans. We were extremely nervous and excited. But the feedback was overwhelming! THANKS for let us live our dream!
