About Me

FOLLOW US @ http://www.twitter.com/formatic At a time when creativity was at an overflow, 21-year-old Montclair graphic design student Joe Geis decided to breathe new life into the clothing industry by developing a refreshing clothing company with cousin, Dan Wargo. In an overly crowded marketplace, the originality and purpose behind street wear culture seems to be lost behind neon colors, expensive price tags, and imitated ideas. From the aversion rose Formatic, a clothing company with the desire to express distinct social and political opinion through their artwork. Since 2007, Formatic has been utilizing its interest in music, sports and art to assist in the progress of a cultural movement.
No strangers to hard work, owners and founders, Joe Geis and Dan Wargo, released their first line of shirts independently, using saved tip money. Over the past two years Formatic has built and maintained a strong team of friends and family who work equally as hard to help Formatic grow and progress as a brand.
In December 2008, Formatic launched its highly anticipated website and online store, designed by Joe Geis. In addition to the online store, Formatic Clothing is also sold at numerous retail stores across New Jersey, such as Division East Skate Shop in Montclair and 1st and 15th Street Boutique in Rahway.
Formatic prides itself on being a personal company, one with recognizable faces behind the labels. Formatic maintains this image by hosting local promotional parties to meet its supporters. In the last year, Formatic has hosted several events, with excellent turn out, at The Waiting Room Bar and Restaurant in Rahway, NJ. These events promote the clothing line, but also showcase local talent from musicians, artists, and emcees. Fans, supporters, and artists are a given positive place to share ideas and have a great night with one another.
Formatic's next party at the Waiting Room will be held on Sunday, March 29th at 6pm. With a low six-dollar cover, attendants are invited to enjoy live performances by New Jersey's own Beale Street Love, the Command Radio, the Night Life, Bears and Bright Lights, and the Matt Koziol Band. With the new addition of raffles, contests, and giveaways from companies, such as Red Bull and Sony Records, March 29th is shaping up to be the best Formatic event yet.
Dedicated to inspiring and influencing open minds through its artwork and events, Formatic has successfully created its own niche in this cultural movement, proving that unlike current trends, it is here to stay.
