Johnny Rocket And The Broncos

About Me

Johnny Rocket And The Broncos emerged in 2002 in the north-swedish pearl Piteå as a result of many earlier projects. They're a goal oriented group with a vast competence shining through both live and on records.
When having worked most of northern Sweden the band decided to take a year to collect enough money to make a full album, with all the expenses that includes, and just lay it all out there, making sure everyone gets a taste of the wonder that is Johnny Rocket & The Broncos.
"I'm one of many older Piteå residents who's relation to the local band Johnny Rocket & The Broncos exclusively is built on their mentioning in articles from different showcases. Judge of my surprise when I listen to the debut album and establish that this is neither punk nor rockabilly (doesn't the name indicate that?) but progressive rock of a noble mark. Intelligent and well made music that matches the best in their genre and that most of all sounds unique. Regardless how deep into my brain archive i look I can't seem to find any direct references to any other band within the same frame. A suitable epithet of their sound is progressive hitmusic, since the songs are unusually short for this style of music, and the songs are free of long soloparts. And finally the band has Daniel Stenberg - a fantastic singer with a voice practically made for this music."

This weekends mixing was a sucess. Many awaken hours and, yes, a few beers as well. The album will be mastered, hopefully, this Thursday. We're all looking forward to hearing the result.
