HOWIE HUSTLE

Howie Hustle, named Tauhid Nur at birth, was raised in the streets of New York. By the time he was 5 years old his father was serving a 15 year sentence in Attica State Prison and his mother was left to raise him and two brothers on her own. The birth of Howie Hustle's rap talent was apparent at the age of 9. He did it all from freestyle ciphers and talent shows, to rap battles and live performances. As he approached adolesence, many that knew him felt he was destined to become a Hip Hop Star! His love of Hip Hop was strong, but the streets became his best friend. By the age of 14 he was in the drug business and writing rhymes became a hobby. When 1994 rolled around he was temporarily crippled and couldn't walk for a month after being shot 4 times in a shoot out with 5 enemies and one man he once knew and called a friend in his own neighborhood. Nearly 1 year later he was indicted in a drug trafficking conspiracy case along with 68 other known co-defendents better known as G.Y.C. or Da Goodyear Crew. After serving 7 years in several federal prisons he has finally arrived. He has spent every week, of every month, of every year sharpening his rhyme skills, perfecting his art, out rapping competition, and positioning himself above the rest. Now is the moment of truth. Since his return he has managed to perform live at game day tip off for Miracles Summer Basketball League in New York, which led to 3 weeks of radio spins of his Basketball Anthem Song (M.S.B.L.), which he wrote especially for the league. He has appeared on numerous mixtapes with artist from up top to down bottom. He has ghost written for several new and upcoming artist and worked with various producers such as Anthony Dent, Rick Walk, Saint Nick, Stevie J, Drummajormusick, and others. By all accounts his music will soon cause him to be known, loved, and respected throughout the nation and abroad. The versatility of his lyrical content, his creative style, and his charismatic presence all add to the aura that continues to attract fans to Howie Hustle.
