Mc Silo has been working the Drum and Bass scene for over four years, and has gained recognition, from his Energetic, Rythmic, Crowd Hyping lyrics, packing each verbal execution to the brim with lyrical intent. Starting out in the summer of 2000, Silo first put pen to paper in the humble beginnings of a best friends studio. From there his talent began to emerge and what was once a bedroom MC, established himself as a worthy talent on the up and coming DnB circuit. Having met with the New Nation gang(big up Fluid), Silo quickly became accustomed to mcing at NewNation, and worked the crowd with his radical flo compostion and volatile style. Mcing alongside the likes of Fatmand D, Ic3 and Riddla, but to name a few, He was quickly signed to the New Nation Artist Agency, and continued, off stage to wow the Airwave audiences, with sets on Formation FM, SubliminalMusic(big up Dizzee), and WitnesstheSickness Radio stations. Silo made his Rave debut at the infamous "Battle of the MC''s VS Drumatics", and went on to partake in a plethora of events up and down the country including
One Nation@BrixtonAcademy, Paradox@SouthamptonQuays, IOTD @The Playground, aswell as regularly hosting local events. Mc Silo was booked in France at Club Dropzone the following year, and flew out to Switzerland to represent Crooked Spine Recordings at the renowned ClubRockingChair in 2006.
Most recently, Silo has emerged on the UK Hip Hop scene under the
brand new Alias, 'Otera San'. Inspired by his Japanese heritage and having excelled through his Japanese A-levels, this vibrant young individual is composing lyrics bilingually, in both Japanese and English.
And, with the forthcoming album, " The Eight Fold Path" currently being refined in the lab, it's been a hectic year for Silo/Otera, but one thing can be for certain, the man behind these masks will be unleashing a fresh crop of lyrical bombardments on a Global Scale come 2007. So watchout...
