About Me

This is all a load of shinfo.
I've got a First in English Lit and I've just started an MA in Fashion Journalism at London College of Fashion. It's intense and I'm a total fish out of water but my course director is one of the BFC talent scouts for LFW and is so well connected with so many people in the industry that he has the best stories, gossip and tip offs. So much more exciting than a Shakespeare seminar.
I like to write about loads of different shit from fashion to feminism to post-humanism, it's good to engage in ideas and mix things up.
I need to have a cup of tea with a piece of cake every day. Yes this is actually a necessity.
My family, friends and Furr keep me glued together and upright.
Apparently people frequently mistake my sincerity for sarcasm.
I am unashamedly a crazy cat lady
Of course I don't actually look like I do in my pictures, I'm only fooling myself though really.
I actually do have tiny saggy soggy PG Tips pyramid tea bags for breasts. Or two fried eggs nailed to a wall- whatever metaphor you prefer.
Sorry I am no Jessica Alba, Jessica Simpson or Jessica Rabbit.

He kisses my soul and makes me LOL
'We can be kites and hold each others strings'

My Interests

Feminism, Gender Relations, Body Politics, Romance languages, Cyborgs and Post-Humanism.
On a more serious note;
FA-FA-FA-FA-FA-FA-FA-FA FASHION.

In another life I enjoyed tripping the light fantastic and hanging around rock bars looking deliciously dishevelled. It's all gone, it's all gone
Handbag? Techno? Disco? Electro?

I like 'em teeny and toasty

The old saying goes, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". Something that certainly ain't broke is that eternal signifier of cool, the humble t-shirt. I think a well-fitting t-shirt is more faithful (and...

It's not vintage, darling, it's second hand...

I have to say I was rather disappointed when I finally escaped from Lancaster (I'm a celebrity, get me out of here) to the slightly-less-shit Preston for a bit of retail therapy. Seriously. Actual lit...
