About Me

MSB was formed in late January 2007. With influences from musicians such as John Mayer, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Norah Jones and other great soul, pop artists, MSB has been able to create a sound both unique and familiar.
Marc Sincavage Band has performed throughout the New England region mainly in the Boston, NYC and New Haven areas. I have been performing since I was a child and grew up loving to listen and play music.
In the spring of 2004 my family and I opened a restaurant in downtown New Haven called Skappo Italian Wine Bar (www.skappo.com) When I'm not in the kitchen, i'm usually playing with MSB. Music has been great to me in my life. It has inspired me and allowed me to express myself in ways I once thought were not possible. With this new album I was able to come up with a sound that is both funky a bit of pop and full of soul!
The songs talk of heartache and happiness and everything else that fits inbetween. There comes a time in everyone's life where they come to a crossroads and you need to make a decision, the first step is always the most difficult. Once you pick your destination then the journey called LIFE begins.
"...There are times when you can't go on/But you will know this times for you..."

Marc Sincavage , Moving Forward Looking Back (marcsincavage.com).

"A tight, full band with horns and keys fills out this softer pop/rock flavoring. There’s a ’70s feel to it throughout; kind of Beatlesque at times (especially the background vocals on “Girl Like You” and, um, the cover of “In My Life”) and kind of Steely Danny at others (“Press On”). But Marc isn’t a throwback. This is a modern spin owing more to Josh Groban and Fastball than those older bands."
