About Me

I used to write for The Simpsons , now I just write.
My first novel, "I Love You, Beth Cooper" is now available in a special edition paperback , including extra jokes far too obscene for the movie.I wrote the screenplay for the movie version of my book, directed by Chris Columbus and starring Hayden Panettiere, to be released July 10. (I have much higher hopes for it than the other two movies I wrote. ). I also occasionally write somewhat funny things for the New Yorker .
Other aspects of my haphazard past: Beavis and Butt-Head , Looney Tunes , Pogo , Spy magazine , and The National Lampoon.
Additional hagiography can be found on my personal website .
You may also wish to visit the book's incredibly work-intensive site...
...where you can read the first chapter.
...and check out the cool art by Evan Dorkin.
...and listen to the book's soundtrack.
You might even want to buy the thing.

"I Love You, Beth Cooper" has won the 2008 Thurber Prize for American Humor! As an added comedy bonus, this report includes yet another picture of me looking slightly dead.
