V-Day

We are a group of women who are going to put on a V-Day production of The Vagina Monologues and some fund/awareness raising activities in February and March 2009. We would like to meet lots of other women to be part of our production. We are looking for actresses, techies, fundraisers and anyone else who would like to help. V-Day is a huge campaign that originated in the US and Canada and it's aim is to halt all forms of violence against women and girls. People involved in this campaign raise money for their local women's charities rather than sending all the money to one big channel.

The Vagina Monologues was created from over 200 intimate conversations award-winning playwright Eve Ensler had with women. These exchanges were funny, poignant, unusual and sometimes tragic. Women talked about their relationships, their sexual experiences and said things they never dreamed of revealing, even to their closest friends.
