With Joul, indisputable leader of the group - The Dr, create his first formation in 1997 and gave his first gig just after 2 months of existence.
The Members of the band were only 16 and 17 years old at that time.
In their first year, they produce a 6 tracks Cd sampler, that permit them to play in all place possible in Montpelier: The machine is starting !!
98 is the year of the first Demo Cd. It had a great success ( 50 millions will listen to it ) and it took Dr eggs onto some great stage for some prestigious first part as Burning heads or Liberator.
Every gig they're playing at , Dr eggs drags their procession of fans ! That's in fact everyone from their High School, " Lycee Clemenceau "
In 2000, is coming out with the as co-producer. This release, made of Ska tendencies, bring the Dr to play with some of most trendy band of this fresh french ska scene ( Spook and the guays, RWMS, Kargols, Babylone Circus, Maximum Kouette...). It's the start of a nice series of concerts all around France and also in Switzerland, England, Belgium and in 50 jails in France to give a support to their prisoners. (Always in an underground way without any manager and promoter).
In the meantime, Dr Eggs change its musical line , fed-up with this enourmous Ska-Punk Wave and above all frustrated of being so attached to it that they can't play something else.
From this radical change, they built up their first full album , an eclectic piece as the variousity of the musicians of the band, with the support of the "Skalopards Anonymes" who's in charge of the co-production and of the distribution with "Mosaic" all around France. In June 2003, Dr eggs hit their First studio sessions. This painfull experience is very fascinating, and permit the band to take another way with an all new album.
"Peep Show", is realesed in February 2004 and leave no none indifferent! The Tour call , that follow this album, have a good welcoming from first the public and alos of all the actors of the french music scene as "Tremplin National","Overlook de Bergerac". This exhausting tour is ending after 116 dates all around Europe. Nowadays, Dr Eggs have played 350 times in France, and they have a bitter look on the French scene . Before being very fed-up with it, Joul decide to export the band in Hong Kong, to conquier Asia but most of it to enjoy their time on the road again with a brand new fresh air!
After 1 year of travel around Asia, Joul decided to re-group Dr Eggs with Hong Kong musicians starting from the end of 2005. They participated in Hong Kong band competitions and music festivals. Until now, Dr Eggs has a great success in Hong Kong, they got the champion in Warehouse Band Competition 2006, they had been chosen to perform on Rock It 2006 main stage and, they had been entered the final round of YAMAHA Asian Beat 2006 (HK division). All the current success really solidified Dr. Eggs music in HK music industry, their music is like storm in the market as well.
The Second full album is on its way, the second part of the history of Dr Eggs takes place !
