I am here for Friends

About Me

I'm not that girl.
But that doesn't mean I'm not fabulous too ;-)

And just to prove it, here are a couple of gems for your viewing pleasure.
This is my favourite of Ryan's songs, where despite being upstaged by my middle cat all the way through the 2nd half, and the camera operator's snorts of laughter as the cat glared at him & groomed herself, he proceeded with the utmost professionalism and the song is gorgeous as ever (as is the cat, and my Christmas tree!)

Once you've seen this one & loved it - for after all, you're only human - you can check out the rest of his In My Place acoustic gigs at RyanKoriyaVideo on YouTube. Go on, you know you want to...

And here's a little of the boys from Fiction Plane working their magic. If you ever get a chance to see them live, grab it with both hands and run screaming through the streets, sharing the opportunity with as many folk as you can. You won't regret it. Well, I suppose the screaming in the streets thing you might regret. These boys ROCK THE HOUSE and as soon as they announce new tour dates, I'll share them with y'all. I know, I'm just too lovely for words, right?

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Tom Waits, Chris Kane, Joss Whedon. I am not worthy. Michael Eavis.

Lend me your time machine, and let's add in Jeff Buckley (please, just go to the airport to meet the band) and Elliott Smith - both too big a loss to not at least try.

5 minutes with Fiction Plane and the influencing skills to talk them into playig the Cluny on Jo's birthday (20th June) with Ryan Koriya supporting. C'mon boys, we love ya lots indeedy ;-)

My Blog

A splendid soundtrack

Blogging is an odd pastime really, much like talking to yourself in the street in the hope that some one will overhear you. I talk to myself (my cats, my computer, pretty much anything with which I in...

Days of yore (and blinchiki)

Food is on my mind. Partly because it's lunch time, and the available range of nibbles at work is distinctly unappetising. Partly because I've been reading the latest Oxfam Reports Live emai...

Making things better

I've put some thought into this over the past couple of years, and it is my firm opinion that any charity that genuinely wants to raise as much money as possible should hire Sean Bean to vo...
