About Me

Hi Folks, If you're just seeing my page for the first time, take a look around. Before you send me a friends request, make sure you want to be friends with someone like me. I may be "anti-establishment", but I am definitely PRO-AMERICA! I fought for what this country is SUPPOSED to stand for, not for the status quo. I'm rough around the edges, don't always have the full compliment of tact, and have a wickedly sarcastic sense of humor. Take a GOOD look at the symbol rotating above this paragraph. I take my recovery VERY seriously. God knows I've "slipped" often enough (you could pave a parking lot with my white chips!), but I keep getting up and trying again. Without the program, and my friends, I'd be dead! So, NO, thank you, I'm not interested in getting together to try your weed, or any other substance you may have. I'm smart (no brag, just an acknowledgment of fact), interested in the world (although I probably don't agree with the "conventional" opinion), and LOVE to discuss things with people who have actually bothered to familiarize themselves with the facts about subjects they wish to pontificate about. I have NO tolerance for bullshit, and if you try to throw some my way, I WILL call you on it!! I consider myself a "southern gentleman", which means I open doors for ladies, try not to swear around old folks, and defend the helpless. If that makes me an anachronism, or a throwback, so be it. ANYWAY, if you've read all this, and you STILL want to send that request, go right ahead. I figure there's no such thing as too many friends.
