About Us
Based out of Kokomo, IN TMG recording artists Falling Higher is comprised of four individuals whose passion for non-conformance to the world shows through their music. Lead vocalist and guitarist Brian Dougan, bassist Josh Halton, drummer/percussionist Craig Loveless, and lead/rhythm guitarist Jason Skaggs came together in the early spring of 2005 with the hopes and intentions of making music that will not only glorify but will bring others to Him as well. They knew what they wanted to deliver with their message and they went after it aggressively.
After only being together for nearly 4 weeks, FH played their first show at a coffee house in the quaint little town of Mulberry, IN. From there everything started to come together, the songs, vision, direction the band was going to take, and the dynamics of the group started to take shape. Drawing on many influences from many genres of music such as Third Day, Newsboys, and Pillar. Brian, Josh, Craig, and Jason have collaborated their talents and have created musically and lyrically diverse songs capturing all of these elements. Practicing relentlessly in Craig’s rehearsal studio nestled in the southern part of Kokomo gave these guys the time and atmosphere needed to practice and nurture their songs. From the spring of ’05 to current Falling Higher has played at many churches, festivals, car shows and any place that will allow them to carry their message.
In 2007 Falling Higher released their much anticipated debut EP Wooden Boy, with the radio singles No Matter How Long and Anyway, that captures everything these guys stand for. Falling Higher had put together a compilation that encompassed many aspects of their sound.
In 2008 Falling Higher signed with the major label TMG for worldwide distribution of their first full length record. The guys returned to the studio this winter and finished tracks for their upcoming CD, titled "State of Dismay". This Summer the guys will be hitting the road to support that record.
