About Me

Let's go way back in time... Johnny "Scritch" Van Woogie founded The Clerks with his brother Stinky Troll around 1998 in Orleenz, while none of them knew anything about music. But as awful as it sounded, it came straight from the heart. Later, Scritch and Troll joined the band Drive on the Sheep which gained a little fame by playing a few gigs... after they kicked out our man Johnny, who was the worst guitarist they had ever heard (not to say of his singing "abilities"), and would bring shame to the band by desperately trying to look like The Lord Elvis Almighty (but a really cheap version of Him). After some time of non-activity (which explains why he still sucks as a performer) and a mystical experience in the Mojave, Johnny recorded the song "Buddy Holly Dr." which found a huge fan in the person of XTA, guitarist and composer of the great Orleenz band Polytrauma. Following his friend's advice, Scritch decided to go on recording, just for the sake of art, with any Clerk who would join in...

Influences: GOD ELVIS, Johnny Cash, Vaselines, Ramones, Woody Guthrie, New York Dolls, Joan Jett, Pogues, Jackie DeShannon, AC/DC, Johnny Hallyday (sorry), Ritchie Valens, Gary Glitter (very sorry), Stooges, Run DMC, Polytrauma (whose magnificent song "We are not" I covered/slaughtered as "I am not") and everybody that knows what the words ROCK AND ROLL really mean.

Sounds Like: I wouldn't offend anybody by saying my crap sounds like their beautiful music. But my buddy XTA says it's kinda like Suicide plaiying rockabilly. I never found out if it was a compliment...
