Glee Club Detention is a collective group of writers, dj's, producers, mc's, b-boys, etc:. the founding fathers of this crew are Doc Sus, Dj Shorte, and the crews most outspoken member, Butta Verses. these three artist have been running in the same circle of people for years and decided it would benefit all if they focused on one project as a whole. Glee Club Detention or GCD for short was formed in 2001, after about a year the groups music caught the ear of legendary dj Maseo Plug 3 from super Hip-Hop group De La Soul. Plug 3 soon took an active role in exposing Butta's verses and Sus's and Shorte's tracks to the world. Some of Butta's verses can be heard on the banging new De La Soul record " THE GRIND DATE ". Butta has also been awarded the oppertunity to tour with De La. In his own words he says," It's crazy! I cant believe the position we're in right now.
The Odd Couple ( doc suS and dj Shorte) has work w/ Consequence, Phife, Maseo of de la soul, Zappmama and Lauryn Hill. Doc suS has toured & traveled w/ Ms Hill and has spread the gCd all the way to Africa. "We spreadin gCd all around the world!" say doc sus of his most recent trip.
