About Me

Michael Mlekoday (pronounced muh-LEK-oh-day) lives in St. Paul, Minnesota.
He likes making poems.
He was a member of the 2008 St. Paul "Soap Boxing" Poetry Slam Team, which ranked 13th in the nation.
He was a member of the 2007 Poetry Slam St. Thomas College National Poetry Slam Team, making semifinals & purposely disqualifying themselves with style.
He was a member of the 2009 University of Minnesota College National Poetry Slam Team, which ranked 5th in the nation.
When he's not making or saying poems, he's either going out to eat or playing bass guitar or rapping.
He wishes he lived in a bookstore.
His three favorite movies are Waking Life, Romero, and SLC Punk.
He has said poems, coached poets, and helped people learn to make poems all over the Midwest.
He would like to say words at your slam/poetry reading/class/performance/gala.
He can be reached at [email protected]
