About Me

NOTES: I do not have professional recording equipment; I don't even have a mic. All songs are recorded on my mp3 player and are therefore draft recordings.
Not all of my songs have been recorded; almost all of them have, but not all of them.
Some songs have lyrics that were not written by me; please check the song's corresponding blog entry to see lyric authors.
Please, please, PLEASE forgive me for all my horribly wailing and mundane songs; but you drifted onto my page, so you can't say I didn't warn you.

USE MOZILLA FIREFOX TO VIEW THIS PAGE PROPERLY.

Oh, one more thing; please please PLEASE forgive me for the use of a pink font ... and for stretching the page ((again)) >)_< It used to be white but I had to remake my profile when my background broke, and although I would've loved to have it still as white it just wasn't working. Nor was red. So now it's this horrid yucky icky-poo pink. It's not even feather boa pink. Nor TIGHTS pink. It's just ... yuck.

And if you read every bit of the ramble in the David Bowie table below, you're either persistant or insane. Either way, I'll salute you.

... that was two things. Three if you think about it ...

Meh.

My Interests

Music:

Banner by Marley; I love her. Everything else by MOI ((so credit if you take anything!!))

LITTLE KNOWN FACT: I am one of the few "artists" on MySpace who doesn't bombard people with friends requests if they're not a friend to me online or off, or if it's not the page of one of my idols. I don't know for certain which people are ever interested in hearing me and I don't like to impose. I'll befriend anyone who genuinely wants to get to know me ((why anyone would like my music I have no idea)), but I've pretty much decided my Top 24 friends as they're all friends. Making a "Top 24" list is really hard and oft misleading. If you're one of my friends but you're lower down on the list, that doesn't mean I value you any less; I think you're all tops.

^ A banner I made for the hell of it. Yeah, that's my guitar.

Create your own visitor map!

^ My page viewer count thingy. Not that I expect to get many hits; I want to re-record my songs with better equipment and make my profile ... better. It'll be a shame to let go of the Queen of the Night painting though; but I need a background that can repeat.

Influences: There's no use denying it; I'm irresponsibly mad for Anthony Warlow

In case you're wondering, these banners were made by moi in promotion of the Phantom of the Opera Australian Cast Recording and / or Filmed Stage Performance Petition (Starring Anthony Warlow), hosted by Unexpected Song: Celebrating the Life of Anthony Warlow.

I have seen Anthony Warlow live and seen Phantom five times!
1: Phantom of the Opera, Melbourne, 21st November 2007 on a Wednesday at the 1pm Matinee.
2: Phantom of the Opera, Melbourne, 8th of January 2008 on a Tuesday night. Met Rebecca, Lauren and her sister, as well as ANTHONY WARLOW! Pictures are up, including blogs!
3: Phantom of the Opera, Melbourne, 9th of January on a Wednesday at the 1pm Matinee with Simon Pryce as the Phantom. Met ANTHONY WARLOW AGAIN after the 8pm show!
4: Phantom of the Opera, Sydney, 13th of September on a Saturday night. Met a lot of members from Unexpected Song for the LSS Weekend; Unexpected Song's first unofficial nin-convention. Also met Jackie "Mme. Giry" Rees and got her autograph.
5: Phantom of the Opera, Sydney, 14th of September on a Sunday Night. Met up with Unexpected Song members again for the LSS Weekend. Also met Ana "Christine" Marina, Alexander "Raoul / Dimples" Lewis, Julie "Christine" Goodwin, Simon "Phantom / Lionman" Pryce, John "Firmin" O'May, David "Piangi" Rogers-Smith, Nadia "Meg Giry" Komazec, Sarah Bakker, David English, Kathleen Moore and - surprise surprise - Anthony Warlow. AGAIN! Photos from the weekend are up.

And ... I was kissed by him! Twice! ^)_^

Here's a wonderful promotional video made by jayko for the Phantom of the Opera Australian Cast Recording and / or Filmed Stage Performance Petition (Starring Anthony Warlow).

I suppose the biggest influence would be my family and friends ((don't roll your eyes at me, it's true)), particularly Alexa. Alexa is - or kind of was - my Vocal Teacher since I was 13 ((now that I'm in Uni I've got a different vocal teacher)), she's just a wonderful woman, brilliant performer ... You know I have never once seen her angry. I've seen her upset and disappointed, but never angry. Now that's something to live by.

Now, I do have a little list of my idols and influences on my Live Journal Profile , but let's try and get it all here too ((NOTE: The "R.A.T.E.D. M15 +" thing is just a kickstart list to my idols and influences; the ones I really like make this list so they don't get lost in the alphabetical order, although sometimes my preferences change)).

RATED M15+: Roy Weissensteiner; Anthony Warlow; Tim Curry; Eric Idle; David Bowie; M[oops! Intrest shift; suggest someone starting with M?]; Alan Rickman; Eva Cassidy + Alain Boublil; Ana Marina; Anthony Hopkins; Areatha Franklin; Barry James; The Beatles; Billie Holiday; Cassandra Wilson; Christine Andreas; Christopher Lambert; Claude-Michel Schönberg; David and Leigh Eddings; Danny Elfman; Dave Cook; David Campbell; David English; David Hobson; David Thelander; David Rogers-Smith; Dennis Olsen; Derek Taylor; Dinah Washington; Don Mc'Lean; Douglas Sills; Dudley Moore; EAST WIND; Elaine Page; Ella Fitzgerald; Eric Bogle; Eric Clapton; Erik Satie; Eugene O'Neil; Frank Wildhorn; Gary Morris; Gay Soper; Gene Wilder; Geoffrey Rush; george; Ghillian Sullivan; Herbert Kretzmer; Hugh Laurie; The Idea of North; India Arie; Jim Carry; Joan Collins; Dame Joan Sutherland; John Bolton-Wood; John Cage; John Cleese; John Hurt; Johnny Cash; Johnny Depp ((shut up. It's actor's admiration, that's all)); Jon English; Julie Goodwin; Julie London; Lena Horne; Leslie Bricusse; Lee Hazlewood; Linda Eder; Michael Ball; Michael Crawford ((only a little)); Neil Diamond; Neil Kirkby; Nina Simone; Peter Cousens; Patricia Quinn; Peggy Lee; Peter, Paul and Mary; Philip Glass; Philip Quast; Richard Alexander; Sir Richard Attenborough; Richard O'Brien; Robert Lemke; Robert Lewis Stevenson; Rodney Rude; Rowin Atkinson; Sarah Vaughn; Simon and Garfunkel; Simon Pryce; Steven King; Suzanne Johnstone; Taryn Fiebig; Terrence Mann; Terry Pratchett; Traci Harding; Weird Al Yankovic; Willem Dafoe; Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Sir,
Thank "You!!!" for everything.
Sounds Like: I NEED YOUR HELP; I can do Shakira, Jewel, Norah Jones and Kasey Chambers impersonations, but honestly ... *shudder* I don't know. So I would like you to tell me what you think I sound like. I sing a lot of operetta and musical theatre that I don't really have a contemporary voice ((but I've explained that in a little speech somewhere and I'll put that up soon)). My best friend Marley just told me ((after listening to my poorly-recorded version of This Is My Home)) that I would be good doing folk music, and that I should cover some of Joan Beaz's songs. WOW ((oh hehe "WOW" is such a funny looking word in caps. WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW hehe)) A thought I will definetely entertain; be it the only thing I'll ever be able to entertain

"I am the entertainer ... "

Oh, and whilst I'm thinking of it ((while I'm thinking of it? I suck at grammar. And spelling)), to the people who have been asking what my accent is, my answer is: "GUESS".

^ Just thought I'd let you guys see the kinda stuff I listen to. You don't have to like it. The point is I do.

Record Label: None! AH HA HA HA - *thud*
