Upgrade Omega

Starting out in mid 1999 just outside Toronto Canada, Upgrade Omega (more often reffered to as simply Upgrade) has constantly pursued the music he found to be energetic, melodic and uplifting in a way that will put a smile on your face and force you to move. Over the years he has lived and worked in Los Angeles, New York City and New Orleans in addition to Toronto Canada along with traveling extensively overseas to England, Ireland, Italy and Greece to the other end in Asia and living in Japan. All of these places have have a profound influence on his style as he has always found new influences to inspire him from across numerous genres. His ideas and songs have taken shape everywhere from exploring the desert in Utah and Nevada to Sunday morning walks through Midtown Manhattan after having spent more hours in a club than anyone should know about to being utterly lost in translation in the back roads of more distant places. In the end, inspiration comes from some amazing places... so sometimes it takes exploring some amazing places to give you inspiration. All the music you hear from Upgrade Omega is recorded live, from live gear. He will never record something that he can not play back in real time. He does not DJ and does not click a computer mouse to make music. This is as real as electronica gets! (well until we can make it even more live!) Upgrade Omega got tired of seeing 'live' electronic acts simply getting smashed on stage and letting thier computers do the work and works hard to keep the music interactive and will never give that element of his music up. This has been shown by the recent addition of electric violins using distortion and other effects to bring even more of a live feel to the music as its sampled live on the fly. If you hear small mistakes in timing, notes or 'tweaking' in the songs thats because as a human he is still able to make such errors... and that's the way he will keep it.... Human made electronica!
