About Me

I am a LEMHI Shoshone-Bannock , Colville, Spokane, CouereD Alene, and Kootenai woman. I am the proud mother of a son Nakeezaka Jack, and thankful for being blessed with such a beautiful and happy child. I am a jingle dancer and travel along the good ol "powwow trail" when I am done with school every summer. I am a student @ Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence Kansas which is one of the best places on earth (everyday is great because I love being near my fellow Native peoples "feels like a powwow" AYE!). Most people say I am a nice person and I guess you can say I am funny. Not funny in a bad way but a "cool" funny. I love food, I always get commented on how fast I eat, or how much I can eat. I WORSHIP my "Cugoo", she's so intelligent, I just want to know everything she knows. I also have an awesome grandpa, Papa, he is a big WSU Wazzou fan, and he will always be the toughest ndn in the world to me. I have just learned many new things in 2007, lol read tha blog. Yes, I have been through alot in my life, but I find that keeping a clear mind and trying to be strong and look to your future (or towards my son's future) is a good way to keep upbeat. I lost my husband and daughter in August of 2005, came out wheelchair bound for a while, but I'm here and THANKFUL for all of the creators blessings, I am able bodied and DANCING. Other than that I am just another Indian woman trying to do the best I can with the life that I have been blessed with (like the old saying, "when life gives you lemons, make lemonade"), my friends and family are life's greatest blessings. I don't know how, but no matter what I still seem to just let all the pain go in other ways, like dancing or sewing ...I take my life and try to just make it a happy one NO MATTER what. "I THOUGHT MY LIFE WAS A TRAGEDY UNTIL I REALIZED I HAD A CHOICE",(you have the choice to make your life about happiness..or to make it about tragedy. "FORGIVNESS IS A VIRTUE A WEAK MAN DOESN'T HAVE" I like this quote, becuase you even have to let things that you've done wrong go, it's harder to carry around hate, or guilt or a grudge than it is to let it go. If you want to know anything else just ask, I'm pretty chill so don't be "scurred". I am not here for dating so don't bother me in that way. Please respect that.Oh sorry for no update..well I got in a accident this past summer and ONCE AGAIN was told that I may be handicapped for a long while and HERE I AM WALKIN..Im walking on all these hardships..LOL..so ONWARD HASKELL ONWARD HASKELL, THIS IS MY WAR-CRY!!

My Interests

The specials went fabulous. Im so happy that we gave as much as we could to honor the lives of my late husband and daughter. Man, it sure cleaned us all out. My inlaws came out too and were there for the dance specials too. Gave some nice rugs for Daryl. ANyway..Im ready to start my school year and ready to keep building a future for my son and I. SOoner or later we will have to pick up whats left in our lives and keep moving forward. We are and we will. No matter how hard things get, we will always fight to be happy again. Nakee and I are both walking and ready to start school, we both gave all we could and gave it all with the deepest love we had. That will be the end of the memorials for Daryl and Maliah. In our way, we cannot call those spirits back anymore, they will forever rest in peace and remain in our hearts. I will always carry the knowledge that the LOVE Daryl gave to me is special, a love that he shared with me and ONLY me..a husband and wife love. I will now move forward with that love carrying me thru hardships. I will also remember how greatly loved and cherished my baby girl was. She was such a blessing. OK..OK so anyway Nakee is the blessing I can still hug, hold, and kiss, so I will take care of my lil blessing and try and pull off a good semester at school. It's all new to us from here...
