My teacher always taught me to be open minded and creative, so that is what I encourage all drummers to do. I am currently in a screamo band, Called From Exile,so go check us out. There are many music styles I love playing though, and despite what some people think screamo has its challenges! Jazz and reggae are very diverse styles and require alot of technical chops in my opinion. I like that laid back, free feeling I get when playing both of them, and also there is tons of improv room. I also believe learning to read music is the only way you can have versitility. That is why I think have a great talent in drumming, but that would not exsist if it weren't for some people.
