About Me


Michael Langkamp (born 1980) is playing trumpet since he was 9 years old. He studied jazz in Amsterdam with Jan Oosthof and Ferdinand Povel from 2001 - 2006 and had as well lessons from Jiggs Wigham, Terell Stafford, Claudio Roditi, Randy Brecker, Steve 'Stepko' Gut, Bo Nilssen, Allen Vizutti, Wallace Roney, Rob Madna.
Touring almost the world made him play in Belarus, France, Greece, Morocco, Andalusia, South Africa, Russia, Italy, South Corea, the Caribbean Islands and more.
He played the concert band of the german Youth Jazz Orchestra "Bujazzo" conducted by Peter Herbolzheimer for two years and worked with e.g. Paul Kuhn, Ack van Rooyen, Götz Alsmann, Barbara Dennerlein, John Ruocco, John Clayton, Dick Oatts und Ellen ten Damme, Dennis Rowland and others.
