Growing in family of multi awarded film makers with a history of more than 70 years in the business gave Jean-Louis Manzon the opportunity to get involved in the craft at a very young age.
In 1997 started his career as film editor, having until today edited more than 400 films, including advertisement, documentaries, video-clips and short films. In 2000, joined the area of digital compositing and special effects. After a season working at New Yorker finish-house Black Logic, returns to Brazil to finish film school and joins the digital compositing team of Vetor Zero, leading effects house of Latin America. In parallel to advertisement, Jean-Louis directs and edits a series of awarded experimental short films.
As a VJ, unites deep technological knowledge of digital image creation, formal education as film-maker, a decade of experience in electronic-music parties production and a range of influences that go from the paints of Marc Chagall to the avant-garde architecture of Zaha Hadid, Jean-Louis takes to the screens his unique visual translation of music
Resident VJ and responsible for visual arts of Tribe and Solaris parties, has presented himself in the biggest south american festivals, such as Tim Festival, Skol Beats and other countless parties spread by 9 brazilian states, the United Kingdom and France, to sound of a range of names, from Tiësto to number one brazilian rapper Marcelo D2._________________________________________________________
