Location: Although Dutch has spent some time residing in Philadelphia, located in Pennsylvania and East Orange (lll Town), located in Jew Jersey, he origninates from and currently resides in Newark, known as the Brick City.
History: Born in Newark, NJ with a gift, the infant that would become Dutch 40 was exposed to the arts at an early age by his soon to be divorced mother of two, whomanaged to make a living as an educator and part time poet/playwright. As an adolescent, Dutch studied a myriad of crafts, practicing and performing in exotic locales as distant as the nation of the rising sun, Japan. During his college years, combating an inner struggle to resist conformity, he continued his training and chose hip-hop as the main outlet for his artistic energy. It allowed him to display his improvisational skills, aptitude for music, comedic talent, ingenuity and gave him the forum to give the world a piece of his mind, earning him monikers like "Black Out" and "Rebel".
After creating a reputation amongst "spitters" in the Northern area of Philadelphia, Dutch left his studies and returned home to New Jersey. There he announced to the newly reformed KGB, whose membership he was familiar with from pre-college years when he wasn't seen as ready or serious, that he was signing up. Dutch, designated Dutch 40, rapidly rose throughthe ranks to full membership status, displaying a passion and deep understanding of what it meant to be called M.C. He was tested and proved himself on such projects as Properganda Volume 1 "See you in the Future" and Bowl of Gutter's 3rd Mix Tape, where once completed Dutch was extended and offer for reserve membership into the B.O.G. family. Videos for both projects have received heavy rotation status in areas of Manhattan, New York and the County of Essex in New Jersey. Dutch 40 accomplished this while making the rounds at comedy clubs and spoken word bashies, culminating in an invitation to the world famous Apollo theatre.
Dutch is truly a black out artist, forever evolving, readily displaying his staccato style of rhythmic delivery and never holding back his opinions on anything.
