I am here for Friends

About Me

I'm recently divorced (as of June 12th, 2007)! I have a Harley which I ride mostly on weekends and a Mustang convertible for the rest of the week. I now live in paradise known as Tampa, Florida having left the Socialist Republic of New Jersey where the high taxes, lousy attitudes, way too much traffic, another losing year for the Philadelphia Eagles, and the snow were all I could look forward to (not to mention one governor who can't figure out how to use a seat belt and an ex-governor who is gay...not that there's anything wrong with that of course...). I love living in Tampa! I'm a retired Air Force officer and flyer and have three grown-up, amazing and wonderful kids. One is still in college and one is done and lives and works in NYC. I still work to pay the bills but at least now with the kids almost gone, those bills are getting smaller--yeah right! I'm sort of the quiet type who mows his own grass, enjoys doing projects around the house, cleans, etc. without much complaining... I'm the kind who is happy eating a bowl of cereal for dinner, or a sandwich over the sink to cut down on dishes, but I love to eat out when I can too, especially if it's with an interesting person. I enjoy looking into a lady's eyes when she talks because I believe they are the gateway into her soul. I'm pretty low maintenance really and am not looking for any mind games at this point in my life. AOL/AIM s/n is hlizard.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Ladies who took care of themselves. Nothing is sexier to me than a middle-aged lady who is confident in herself and who knows that she is still gorgeous! A professional, who is free and can enjoy some quiet time along with going out or traveling for a weekend or maybe a vacation. I'm not a big club scene guy, and usually don't drink very much. Would love to travel some--my motorcycle, your boat maybe? Your airplane? (A guy can always try can't he?) Someone who can carry on an intelligent conversation and leave the TV off for long periods of time. If you're more worried about who is winning Survivor than who is running the country, that's not my style. Someone who has traveled a bit and still has a few destinations in mind to see. Really don't need any drama, just someone who is secure in who they are and wants to spend some time together to see if things work out. I just came out of a 27-year relationship and am not trying to jump head first into things all over again. Slow and steady wins the race... I don't ask for too much right?
