Not having a role model to show him how to DJ or explain any tricks, he made up his very own style and was one of the very first people to play house music in Turkey. Though the crowd was much surprised to hear this very new music, soon he managed to make them love what they heard.Playing in several parties and fashion shows, he received his first residency at Baca Bar. In 1991 he began playing at Cubuklu 29 and Etiler 29 which were the hippest clubs then. As he took his new residency at Taxim Night Park the club became a legend in Istanbul nightlife, so that his name. He was known by everyone who had a chance to experience the alternative nightlife of the city or even hear about it. In 1993 he started playing at 19,20 and another legend 2019 which was rewarded as the best underground club in Europe. As more people began to be interested in electronic music, he started doing his own show at Radio 2019. A new club, Millenium opened in 1997, and Ufuk had the chance to show everyone that a Turkish DJ could be as good or even better than number one Djs around the world by playing with the most important names of electronic music. During all this, he was also being booked to play all around the world. He had gigs in Club Roxy, Waakzamheid, Club Nikis and Marcanti Plaza in Amsterdam, Phonodrome and Orange in Hamburg, Fuse in Helsinki and more.As clubbing became a global trend, new clubs opened and Ufuk was always the first name in the list, as a DJ, co-founder and musical director. Clubs like High-End, Magma, Scene and Switch had been very successful projects he was involved. He then began working as a producer, and he started a project named Gazla with percussionist Ates Tezer. They began performing in Istanbul..s famous club Switch and the feedback they received was fabulous. Other than playing with names like Carl Cox, Derrick May, Stacey Pullen, Masters At Work, Frankie Knuckles, Fatboy Slim, Derrick Carter, Armand Van Helden and Joe Claussell, he also was the name to DJ at afterparties of concerts like Alanis Morisette, Massive Attack, Kosheen, David Bryne, Placebo, Moloko and Guru.U.F.U.K, who can be called as one of the most famous DJs in Turkey, has always been a name to guide others who have interest and respect in electronic music.
