Truth tha Brainchild aka Raps King of Kings aka The Black James Bond, is an artist from the west coast, Bakersfield, Ca to be exact. He is a one time hooper, who stopped because of injury. Truth has been through his share of storms, so he thought a good way to vent would be picking up a microphone and writing lyrics. What once was just a hobby turned into his passion. He then met another aspiring emcee by the name of Nemesis. Once they realized they both shared the same ability to slay beats, they teamed up to start GOLDEN EMPIRE MUSIC. He worked and worked until he became a LYRICAL GENIUS. Now he is working on his first lp and hopes to shake the world with it. He is a lyricist first and foremost but shows incredible song writing with great hooks to go with those lyrics. He raps about any and everything from the club to the social stuff, females to harsh reality tales. He has the advantage of working with one of the hottest unknown producers in Severe and hottest emcees in Nemesis. When asked about working with those two Truth said, "It gives me confidence knowing that I can hold my own over such bangerific beats and with another sick lyricist. The fact that they are also my friends first makes it that much more smooth when I do a track with one of them, it's truly a blessin." Truth tha Brainchild also feels like his hometown of Bakersfield California is looked over when it comes to rap on the westcoast. He feels Bakersfield and Central Cali artist in general get slighted and looked over by other surrounding areas such as LA and the bay. He does acknowledge that it is partially due to the lack of artist TRYING to get out of just the local seen. He hopes to break down the barriers and do that. With a wide array of flow, ranging from rapid fire (his favorite) to spoken word, and wordplay that is unrivaled, he is sure to do so. Truth just "wants you to keep you ears glued to the radio", in his words, "and listen for the unexpected because GOLDEN EMPIRE is coming."
