Hearts will never be practical until they are made unbreakable

About Me

Myspace Layouts by Pimp-My-Profile.com

Everything in your life can change. Today, figure out which things are going to. I am an old soul trapped in a decaying body with a very young heart that has been broken way to many times.I can go anywhere and have a good time. If I am not having a good time, it's because of other people and their drama. I don't like drama, period. My friends are very important to me and I will stay up late nights to listen to anything they have to say. It's never all about me and I like it that way. But, I am pretty set in my ways and won't change to make someone else happy. I am very comfortable in my skin.

You Are The High Priestess
You represent mystery - secrets that are yet to be revealed.
You find yourself sitting between two worlds: one dark, one light.
You tend to hold these two worlds in balance, reconciling the two.
Open and welcoming, you invite others to learn your secrets.

Your fortune:

Something hidden, or latent, in your life is about to come forward.
You need to pay more attention to your dreams, thoughts, intuition, and imagination.
And if that involves tapping into your dark side, it will all balance out in the end.
You have a lot of potential dying to be unleashed, so let those gates open! What Tarot Card Are You?

FUN: 1. Playful activity, characterized by such utterances as wheeeee! or higher! higher! 2. A word associated with parks, frozen drinks, late nights, and mediocre first dates (That was fun. Lets do it again sometime.) 3. An activity often resulting in skinned knees, yanked hair, and raging hangovers.

Music:

I'm not a big hip-hop fan. I am fan of older hip hop, the roots of it all, but not much of the current stuff: De la Soul, Tribe Called Quest, Digital Underground, Leaders of the New School, Jungle Bros, Queen Latifah, Monie Love, MC Lyte, Digable Planet, The Roots, Mos Def, Common, and LL Cool J. I like some rock (why lie, I like a lot of rock): I love Dave Matthews Band, but you must see them life to truly enjoy them; Linkin Park is superb there is not other band like them, Sublime was close, but we know what happened. I am really liking Holly Brook, Rhianna and Daniel Powter right now (it is the state of mind I'm in). I like in no particular order: Nine Inch Nails, Beastie Boys, Staind, Live, Foo Fighters Lifehouse, The Stokes, Beck, The Cure, A Perfect Circle, Rage against the Machine, Tool, The Killers, Jet, the Used and My Chemical Romance and I make fun of a lot of pop (bubblegum stuff) but I like Everything but the Girl, Tori Amos, Jem, Poe, Fiona Apple, Liz Phar, Black Eyed Peas and The Goo Goo Dolls (nothing lately though). I like ambient, trance, house and dance when I am out. I like a lot of R & B that is not played (or should I say over-played) on the radio: Jill Scott, Sade (it's time for her to put out a new cd), Stevie Wonder, Anthony Hamilton, Angie Stone, Teena Marie, Floetry, Alicia Keys, Marvin Gaye, Maxwell and Earth, Wind and Fire. But truly, music is the only thing that can bring a tear to my eye and I am very passionate about what I like and what I listen to. Also: Blossom Dearie, Lena Horne, Billie Holiday and so many others.Let the Band Play. And although I have not been here long, I have supported local music for a really long time. Love going to a bar and just listing to a band while I sip on a cocktail.

Movies:

I like going to movies to see SI-FI or Fantasy (you have to see those on a big screen), but I like all types of movies except horrors or ones with to much blood. As for Mysteries, I rather read the book. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and the Chronicles of Narnia. Batman and Star Wars movies. I like the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and War of the Worlds. I love these movies: Wedding Crashers, Forthy Year Old Virgin, Fantastic Four, King Arthur, Garden State, Eternal Sunshine in the Spotless Mind, Sin City, Lord of the Rings trilogy (a must), Star Wars (all of them), So I married an Axe Murderer, Mrs. Parkers Viscous Circle, The Italian Job, Say Anything( I guess every girl is looking for her Lloyd Dobler), Grosse Point Blank (anything with John Cursack in it except Am. Sweethearts), Crossing Delancy, Dazed And Confused, Cat on the Hot Tin Roof (I love Maggie, the Cat), Strictly Ballroom (and any other Baz Luhrmann movie), Kissing Jessica Stein, Girlfight, Casablanca (because any sensible girl would get on the plane), Hav Plenty, Couching Tiger, hidden Dragon (beautiful movie), Shall we Dance (Asian version - yuck to the J Lo version), Labyrinth, The Joy Luck Club, The Other Sister, Love Actually, Playing By Heart (Angelina Joile's best movie), Hackers (her next best), School Daze, Jason's Lyric, The Truth About Cats and dogs, Witness, Raising Arizona, Fast Times at Richmont High, Amelie, Like Water For Chocolate, Tortilla Soup (and the Asian version: Eat, Drink, Man, Woman), True Romance, Love and Basketball, Reservoir Dogs, Love Jones (truly one of the most romantic movies, even if you are a synic like me), Swingers (one day I want to be a bunny, right now I'm a Happy Bunny), Romeo must die, Been & Joon, And Bridgette Jones' Diary.
Movies the need surround sound: Matrix (all of them and the stuff in between), Twister, Independence Day, Jurassic Park(all 3), Harry Potter (all), Ghostbusters (both), Gladiator, The Fast and the Furious (but not the second one, that was garbage), Pitch Black, The Iron Giant, Boiler Room (I see a pattern). Man on Fire, The Mummy (1, 2, and the Scorpion King), The Last Samurai, Mission Impossible (I liked 2 better), Tombstone, Spiderman (I am still trying to see if I like part two yet), Rush Hour (1 &2) Xmen (1&2), Stargate, Men In Black (both), Ladyhawk, Face/Off, Aliens (Alien doesn't really need surroung sound, but a great movie), Terminator (all), Bladerunner (LOVE this movie), Dragonslayer, The Abyss, Armageddon, Bram Stoker's Dracula.Other Movies I like Classics and Musicals: Guys and Dolls, One the Town, Gone with the Wind, Barefoot in the Park, Sabrina, Taming of the Shrew, An Affair to Remember, Street Car Named Desire, The Postman Always Rings TwiceAnd Essentials: Boomerang, As Good as it Gets, Ever After, Grease, Heathers, Made in Heaven, The Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink (and any other Brat Pack movie you can think of). Scrubs, Grey's Anatomy, What about Brian, Ugly Betty, Iron Chef, TLC programs, Dog the Bounty Hunter, Inked, Lucky Louie and Entourage. My new fav shows are: Ninja Warrior, It' takes a thief and Pros vs Joes....Check them out.If you think you can take on the Pros, go to: http://www.spiketv.com/interact/prosvsjoescasting/index.jhtm lGood luck! (Iam trying to get Matt to go on, but I think Megan would have me shot...hee hee)I still love cartoons, even though if I had kids, they couldn't watch the ones I do, to much violence.

Books:

"We die. That may be the meaning of life. But we do language. That may be the measure of our lives." Toni Morrison

I am a Jane Austen Fan. Last book I bought was of Amy Brown's Faries. Kelley Armstrong's Women of the Otherworld Series. Laurell K. Hamilton's Annita Blake, Vampire Hunter Series.

All of my Jane Green books got damaged, but love her style.

More to read?

Heroes:

My Mom. If I tried to depend on anyone else, they would let me down.
