Grand Old Lady

About Me

The Grand Old Lady was born when a few friends got really bored. They didn't know how to play any instruments or sing, so they just screwed around for 30 years. A couple of them started taking lessons while others remained self taught. Extreme boredom caused The Grand Old Lady to practice until they developed the sound you currently hear. Their sound roots from experiments with a number of different genres and sub genres (sub genres are stupid. I mean, can anyone even tell the differences between some of them? No, you can't. If you said you could, you're a liar. A DIRTY LIAR!!!!). Such genres include but are not limited to: electronica, power metal, hip hop, country, surf rock, metal, blues, spoken word, classical, death metal, jazz, grindcore, dance, funk, punk, video game music, and avante garde.
The Grand Old Lady has also developed a not-quite-zealous (borderline apathetic) fan base in recent years. A fan base that consists of at least a handful of people, if not more. The Grand Old Lady also wrote this bio, so The Grand Old Lady has been referring to itself in third person a lot. It's possibly an attempt at sounding professional, but all it does is cause The Grand Old Lady to sound full of itself.
Strong enough for a man, made for a Grand Old Lady .
We're going to make it in the music world just like every other band in southeast Iowa .
