I have been blessed in so many ways that I never could have imagined. Our little girl Kailynn, who was born with a serious heart defect that left unattended would have killed her, has just turned two years old.....and in those first two years, she has experienced more than many people do during an entire lifetime. At eight months old, she had to have open heart surgery, and the chromosome defect that caused her heart defect also has caused low muscle tone that requires her to have physical therapy and also speech therapy. She has come so far, and has already touched so many lives, it is amazing how much one little person can so greatly change you. My amazing husband, Terry, and I would not change anything about our little Kailynn, she has taught us so much about perseverance, faith, hope, and love....and we just praise God for every smile she gives us, every new word she says, every single step she takes and all the wonder you see in her eyes. There is nothing we take for granted, because we have seen how fragile life can be, but we have also seen the amazing power and grace of God.
