About Me

***READ THIS FIRST!!!!!......I make BEATS, I'm a PRODUCER, specializing in Urban-Music, now if I still interest you please feel free to read on*** p.s. enjoy the music!Maybe its a lil too early to predict but many believe that this producer has the ability to be included in the same sentence as todays producer-greats such as the Dr. Dres and the Kanyes of this crazy art form we call Beat making. But just like hes predecessors transitioning from the mic to being behind the boards hes doin his thing!! Big Drain or Drain, has been bubbling down in Miami for a while and it finally seems the pots of beats is about to over flow. Originally, hailing from East London U.K. from a Jamaican decent, Drain first started out in the mid-90s as an emcee. If you ask Drain why he made the move from being a rapper to learning how to produce, the answer is quite easy when I was rapping, I really didnt have no money to pay for beats, so I learned to make em myself! First starting on the classic AKAI S900, a Korg M1 and a lunch box Mac with a Master Tracks sequencer program. Drain began to hone his skills as a producer. He discovered the art of making beats when he first met with Liquid Shield legendary producer/DJ Nick Fury Lewis. He was taught the foundation of beat making and once he got his first MPC 3000 he began to develop and polish his own sound. Drains weapon of choice nowadays is the MPC 2000, Roland XP keyboard, Protools, Recycle and Reason. But Big Drain insists I just started messing with Reasonthere so many sounds available, its a lil overwhelming at times but I like itI like it a lot but my MPC Iana is my booI named her and everything Whether its a sample, chopped or some played keys. Drain has managed to stay innovative with his techniques of freaking beats. Whatever style your looking for. Drain got it! He put it best My style really has no style. I hope no one can really pin point a Big Drain productionI rather it be that way, I dont ever want to be boxed into the expectation of bringing one type of flavor to the kitchenIm call myself the gumbo-beat-maker. I got beats, beats and more beats ranging from Dirty South to West Coast, from Caribbean favored to Latin influenced beats, I got it all! But, my favorite is what I grew up onsome hardcore East Coast sh*t!! One thing though. my drums gon kick you in the ass!!!! Some producers have signature sounds and some are just so versatile that sometimes you can't pin point there production. Drain is one of those producers, with an ear and feel for the creative sounds sure to make heads bob and bodies bounce! Drain; also a member of Miamis CrazyHood Productions (C.H.P.) first exercised his producer skills with his own group Da All (Alliance) and Garcia. Through his relationship with long-time friend DJ EFN/Manager (Miamis Mix-Tape King) he was able to produce for projects including N.O.R.E., CNN, Stat-Quo and BUN-B just to name a few. He also sharpen his skills working with local Miami acts such as Dynas, Slainted-Eyes, GhostRidah and CrazyHoods Heckler.

Influences: As far as my music goes......i'm inspired by so much...but as an artist that's a plus and a minus, cause you have to stay true to yourself and develop your own style.
