Sue Bloom has been known as the "Susquehanna Valley's First Lady of Rock-N-Roll" by radio stations and the general public alike. Her years of performing experience gives Sue the insatiable drive to mesmerize any audience. Her uninhibited performances have toured both the east and west coasts. Her music has been heard both nationally and internationally and has had great response. Sue’s songwriting and vocals have an unique style that spans a wide spectrum of her musical talent. Sue Bloom is her own sound. That sound is inspired from her own life experiences. Take her gutsy soul-like vocal; incorporate it with a new sound combining rock, acoustic folk and progressive rhythms to a much higher form.Sue began playing the guitar at the age of 10, self-taught she was inspired by the music of Cat Stevens, Jim Croce, and Jimi Hendrix. She knew by the age of 12 that music is what she wanted to pursue in her life. She then taught herself how to play the piano and keyboards at the age of 15. Billy Joel’s music was a big inspiration to her piano playing. And in 1980 she began touring with a Rock/Metal band as the lead vocalist, keyboard player and guitar player. In 1983 she played in Las Vegas at some of the most prestigious Casinos/Hotels. Having been offered a career opportunity in Las Vegas singing the lesser rock music, Sue decided that her heart and soul was into the rock based music and decided to give up the opportunity of the big lights in Las Vegas.She was owner of an analog recording studio in her hometown of Williamsport, Pennsylvania and learned the finer points of engineering, producing and composition. Her writing talents landed her opportunities to write, sing and record radio jingles for area businesses and radio stations. In conjunction with her recording studio Sue was the first female, in the area, to building a large sound reinforcement company and do live sound work for bands that were touring throughout the Susquehanna Valley. She became an Audio Design Engineer designing sound systems for schools, factories, churches and stadiums. Which she still does today along with producing and managing bands on the east and west coasts.You will find that Sue Bloom is not just another singer/songwriter she is currently in the process of owning a record label among the many accomplishments she has already achieved.
Her current CD project Lies and Fairytales: The Sue Bloom Chronicles is a collection of some of her most private thoughts and struggles she has encountered in her life. Sue Bloom IS music and will maintain in the business for many years to come.Music is my life although I like to live in the fast lane....Love fast european cars and driving fast...can you catch me??
