Battery Point

About Me

This rock n' roll quartet, made up of four seasoned musicians, has quickly turned heads in the east coast of Canada. Its honest and gritty form of true rock music has propelled the band to the top of the music scene.
Charlottetown, PEI native Dennis Ellsworth, and Stephenville, Nfld's Bruce White are the band's main songwriters. Ellsworth and White teamed up with Charlottetown brothers, Craig and Brady MacDonald to form Battery Point. With Ellsworth's strong vocal and song writing skills combined with White's ability to pen catchy pop hooks, they provide a wealth of material for the band to draw from. The MacDonald brothers, completing the quartet, lay a solid foundation as the band's rhythm section.
In the year and a half since their formation, Battery Point has been nominated for 2 East Coast Music Awards, and won Rock Recording of the year (2009) at the PEI Music Awards. The band has performed the main stage twice at the Prince Edward Island Festival of Lights. Currently, the band just returned from Athens, Georgia where they began recording their 2nd album with Drive By Truckers producer David Barbe.
Their debut album, titled 'A Kick in the Blood', was released in October 2008, and can be purchased on I-Tunes or at sandbarmusic.com
