Rayshawn (Money Ray) Burley was born in Brooklyn N.Y. the home of hip hop. Money Ray’s a hip hop recording artist and a music producer independently for over 15 years. He was Inspired in the early 80’s, These early influence had a profound impact on his life realizing the power of music and of the spoken word; he started to write rhymes and produce his own songs. He quickly gained the respect of his neighborhood for his unique style and for his ability to freestyle, rhymes, and comment about life in the streets. This beginning fostered respect and admiration among his peers and it was then that the direction for his life in music became clear.To this date, Rayshawn has recorded over 300 songs and has collaborated on many other recordings. Ray’s unique abilities have made him an underground cult figure he sold thousands of CD’s Ray has also performed at numerous clubs in different states. Ray has also performed for Mike Tyson at a dinner party in Brooklyn . His first CD press up thru Disc makers in 1997 titled ‘Wanna Live”, has received positive feedback and started to give Ray the wider audience that he deserves. Ray is constantly evolving and refining his craft and has recorded 6 CD’s which sold over 40,000 copies combined. Ray also filmed a video for his albums independently. Which also played on public access cable channels and video music box? He’s now working on a project that will take over the streets. Ray has his built his own independent recording studio that was built with his own money and talent. With proper management and a record label in Ray’s corner, there’s no limit to the success that his talent will bring.
