Dilly Dally aka Black Ice sound, one of the most Hottest urban reggae dancehall Djs in the business. Dilly Dally aka black ice sound, was born in England west London Harlesden 1968. My dedication to the music fraternity for 19 years is one of the most brilliant experiences, which I will put into words. Growing up as a little boy in a family of six siblings, four boys and two girls I was the second to last child.. My parents were born in Kingston Jamaica. I always remember from the age of four my dad was a member of a sound system called invasion. My first words uttered came from a famous Jamaican swear slang made up of the letters RC(Im sure you can work this out for your self!!). My parents always use to play a song called double barrel by the artists Dave & Ansell Collins, which I was told I use to get really excited about when I heard it. This was the track that inspired my first words and if you think thats crazy listen to this! At the age of about nine me and my brothers use to take my dads 7 inch records which we intended to play, but without a turntable; Instead we would get a telephone directory book and put a nail or through the first four pages, then we rolled up a big piece of cardboard like a horn;, then put a safety pin in the end of it, put the record on the nail attach the horn and the needle in the left hand then spun it with our right hand, it produced sound!!, good sound, we had created our owned gramophone!! mind you at that time we thought that it was our own invention.
