Snoovy

Snoovy is an original songstress who draws on her 60/70's roots to create a unique blend of grrlrock that is innovative and fun.Snoovy has been a veteran on the Toronto indie scene for 4 great years, playing venues as the Rivoli, C'est What, and Holy Joes. She ultimately got her start as a Free Times Cafe regular. In 4 short years she has seen such success as performing in NXNE 2001, the Ontario Trillium Foundation Conference 2002, the Toronto Pride Parade 2003, been featured on radio, as well in film. Snoovy was the Montreal Fringe Festival Battle of the Bands winner in 2001 and performed with a professional orchestra at the University of Manitoba in the summer of 2004.Snoovy is never happier then when on the road. She has toured the west coast, the prairies, the States, as well as Australia. Currently Snoovy is finishing up her west coast tour to California to promote her new independent release "A Band of Mini Shoes" and is booked to play a festival circuit this summer including Midwest Women’s Autumnfest in Illinois, Edge of the world fest in BC, and Ear to the Ground fest in Toronto.New releases due for the summer 2005 – a full length sophomore album as well as vinyl remixes (drum and bass)Website http://www.snoovy.com
