Tha Deadly Boyz is a Rap/Hip Hop group, has two members Thibul Nettle aka Stinga T age 24 and Micheal Collard aka Big Sexy age 24.The group started 7 years ago while in high school. At that point they wanted to be an R&B group so we took vocal lessons on and off for about three years with vocal coach Ken Elliot. Ken Elliot who is also a performer in Adelaide started to gain more commitments within his own career, so they decided to drop the R&B career pursuing and becoming a Hip Hop/Rap group and pursue our own careers.No strangers to the Hip Hop/Rap music scene they started to develop and write our own songs. Listening to Rap and R&B music there whole lives it was really easy to get a heart felt love for the industry. When they started the group they didn't have a name so we decided to call ourselves the Westside Boyz as we are all from Western Australia but due to the name Westside Boyz named already being registed they had to change their name so they decide to call ourselves T.D.B. which stand for Tha Deadly Boyz!Being together for 7 years now and living in Adelaide after moving from Perth when they were young they now have made a stable home in Adelaide where they have written a number of songs and recorded tracks of our music as well as performed at a number of special events in Adelaide such as Blak Nite, Nunga Idol, Come Out Festivals, The Fringe and other small gigs round South Australia. also they were on a compilation cd called Taste like Chicken with a sond called Party Song. Also their latest achievement was finishing in the top ten in the 2006 Musicoz Awards in Sydney for the Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander category.The most recent performance opening for the Shadows Ep launch which went off with a bang. Our music style is a blend of street, dance, hardcore hip hop with a bit of R&B and commercial rap all thrown into one which makes us have a variety of hip hop music to suit all our listeners.While being known within the Aboriginal community here in Adelaide, we believe we are ready to take the next step in our careers and let the rest of Australia and World, both Aboriginal and mainstream communities have a taste of the T.D.B!Their aim, goals and dreams is to become a well known Aboriginal Hip Hop group to be successful in achieving our dreams. Taking it further to develop a strong career in the mainstream industry here in Australia and overseas. They feel as Indigenous people it is time to show the rest of the world that Aboriginal people do have the talent and can kick it with the mainstream music/film entertainment industry here in Australia and world wide.Though we have worked very hard over the last 7 years as a group, we are starting to get the acknowledgment and achieve success slowly. Tha Deadly Boyz comes form a big family and being related helps them have a very close bond. As long as they keep making music and writing and performing their songs they believe they have the talent and will be around for a long time.They have recorded their debut album called "Unleash Tha Noongars" which they are getting ready to release sometime in 2007. So keep an eye out for further release dates! Also they will be on a mixtape cd called "Fear of a Black Australia" with also is due for release this year in Australia so look out for it.WESTSIDE
