Hi, my name is Andreas Michalke and I'm a Cartoonist from Hamburg, Germany. I
started doing Comics and Illustrations for Punk Fanzines in the mid-eighties.
In the early nineties I started doing autobiographical Comics and continued doing
Posters and Record Covers for underground Bands. Most of my Comics are available
through Reprodukt Comics ,
my Publisher. My last Book came out in December 2006 and it's called - guess what
- Bigbeatland. The book collects the last four years of my Comicstrip Bigbeatland
that runs in the German weekly Newspaper Jungle
World .
Ten years ago I moved to Berlin and I've lived in Kreuzberg since, together with
my girlfriend.
My hobbies are: thrift shopping, record collecting and going to hardcore punk
& underground rock'n'roll shows.
