A CHESTER singer/songwriter has taken Liverpool by storm by winning a battle of the bands contest.
Sarah Deboe, 25, was the winner of the city’s Soundclash event last Thursday.Sarah, who performs with Liverpool-based drummer Neville Williams, 36, was awarded £1,000 worth of studio time, plus a professional photoshoot and radio slots.The pair made it through the initial stage of the competition on September 4 before being crowned winners at the final on October 2.
Sarah said: “I was lucky enough to meet Neville when I left the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts two months ago, and this was only the second time we had performed together.“We just love performing on stage so maybe this will open up a few doors for us - I would love to do this professionally so I am already working on some new material.â€
