I work for a global company that's a leader in the communications industry,(can't say who) and although my field could be considered geeky by most, I love my job. I get to travel the world for work and meet lots of interesting people, but it's mostly work and not a lot of play.
I ride a bike as you can tell from the pic, and that would have to be my first love. Nothing like blasting the highway (safely of course) at 280 kliks (170mph for the American friends). Things happen fast at that speed.. no pun intended.
Interesting places I've been to this year:
Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore (the Asian tour)
Barbados
California (several times)
Eastern Canada (Halifax, NS)
Western Canada (Lethbridge, AB)
It's been a blast, but winter is on its way, travel for work will slow down, the bike will hibernate for the winter....
But wait... we're loading up the bikes to head for bike week in Daytona in February '07 so stay tuned for that info and pics to follow... (only the non-incriminating ones).
California was a great and if the opportunity ever arose to move there, I would seriously have to consider it.... no, seriously.
November was the best ever. Raiders vs. Broncos, and my first NFL game experience. I've been a Raiders fan all my life, but never been to a game, so when the opportunity arose to go to McAfee Stadium to see the boys take on the Broncs, I couldn't pass it up.
What a blast, tailgating, VIP Lounge, The Black Hole, meeting legends like George Atkinson, Rod Martin, and present day icon Zack Crockett. What a day.... What an experience.
