Photojournalism, spearfishing, snowboarding, wakeboarding, flow riders, climbing, beer, micro-brew, parties, comedy, real estate, movies, friends, the outdoors, off roading, camping, beaches, dancing, swashbuckling and sleeping. If it were possible I would like to visit every country, but for now maybe I can just try for every continent???
anyone who has ever counted telephone poles on a long road trip and reached a number over 200, anyone with a vivid imagination, people who like to party like rock stars as well as those who simply prefer to relax with a glass of wine, Robert Capa, Eugene Smith, Cartier-Bresson and every other master of the craft that is... photography.

This is an update(02/27/07), I have recently found added a lot of bands to my favorite playlist. Most of them I found out about from my SISTER so keep an eye on her favorites if you really want to be up to date.
Ray LaMontagne, Citizen Cope, TV On The Radio, Muse, Damien Rice, Sergio Mendes (the remixed album), Shakira, Bahiano, Juanes, Buena Vista Social Club, Gotan Project, Bebel Gilberto, Paris Combo, The Fray, Q-Tip/A Tribe Called Quest, Matisyahu, G. Love & Special Sauce, Justin Timberlake, Peaches, Yeah Yeah Yeah's, RJD2, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Shins, Spoon, The Strokes, The Killers, Tool,
Peter, Bjorn & John.
(older favorites) Sublime, 311, Toadies, Ludacris, Outkast, Jack Johnson, Led Zeppelin, Weezer, Aerosmith, LBDA's, Yellowcard, AFI, Dashboard Confessional, Missy Elliot, Santana, Counting Crows, Queen, Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney, Lonestar, Pink Floyd.
Boondock Saints, American History X, Ameli, Dumb and Dumber, Willie Wonka's Chocolate Factory, Gladiator, The Shawshank Redemption, Indiana Jones, The Italian Job, Kill Bill, Ace Ventura, Fight Club.
Most anything on the Learning Channel or Discovery as well as Football and Futból. As much as I hate to admit it, I do also enjoy watching Project Runway...
The Wealthy Barber, Slightly Out of Focus (about Robert Capa), photo books... my favorite being Flash: The AP Covers the World.I just picked up a copy of Bill Bryson's "A Short History of Nearly Everything" and have really been enjoying it.
My family members, all for their own reasons:
My dad for ability to save 30,000 a year on a 20,000 a year income. "can we exchange the kids meal toy for some more re-fried beans?", "I used a post it note inside your birthday card so that you can re-use the card and send it to someone else"
My mom for her love and support and ability to pick up men 20 years younger than her haha.
Also the sporatic moments of senility... "nick mantzel dot com??? ok so that is nick... and how is the last part spelled? M-A-N-T-..." "mom, it's our last name"
William for his ever growing brain and well roundedness. Who would have ever thought that he would turn into an outdoorsy kind of guy?
Amanda for making me tough at an early age. Chicks totally dig the scars I have from her. She is a tough cookie.
Kyle for balancing school, football, band and his budding romantic life and excelling in everything he does. I also like him because he looks like a mini me. I think I am going to have to live vicariously through him in the next few years hahaha.
On a side note... Kyle will no longer be a hero if he grows taller than 6'1".
