About Me

BIO:
What becomes apparent from one listen to Extended Play, Fine Lines shrewdly titled debut EP, is that "fine" does not mean "parallel," as the bands musical lines continuously intersect. Fine Lines was birthed from the evolution of a pop/rock band called Something For Jess, who recorded 2003s scintillatingly pop-friendly Here All Alone at Nashvilles Woodland Studio. The aggressive promotional touring that they undertook paid off. By November 2004 theyd placed the track "Walking Backwards" on the national compilation GoGirlsMusicFest 2004 CD alongside songs by Ks Choice and the Skills of Ortega. Performing at the discs Los Angeles release party led to their playing two showcases at South by Southwest in March 2005, performances which in turn led to their touring the East Coast and Midwest and winning an Austin indie-music showcase. The prize? A headlining gig at SXSW 2006.
By the time theyd returned to Nashville to record Extended Play, which adds depth and bite to the sound of Here All Alone while actually enhancing that discs melodic rush, theyd grown into something more thansomething finer than Something for Jess. If Extended Play is any indication, they were right. Ladies and gentlemen, meet Fine Lines.
Listen for Extended Play on the radio stations nationwide this fall as Fine Lines releases their first national radio campaign August 29th on over 400 radio stations!!
PRESS:
The tightest songwriting and cleanest production I have heard in the Pop/Rock genre this year. The polished vocals are interwoven between driving melodies that linger. While this EP only makes a partial offering of five songs (including one "bonus" track) it delivers complete satisfaction. songwritiing, quality musicianship, and a distinguished vocalist...these are fine lines that you cross to get to the next level...

Fines Lines has come out with a brand new CD that absolutely rocks! The first track, Cold is definitely a hit thats itching to get heard. Singer Jess has a voice that fits perfectly into the rock/pop genre. This sophomore release is surely destined to take this band far!
